Miles of untouched beach make for pristine sea turtle nesting grounds.

At the north end of Playa Las Tortugas you'll find a fully functioning sea turtle hatchery. During the summer nesting months volunteers go on nightly patrols along the beach to collect eggs for incubation. In the Fall and early Winter, baby hatchlings are released back into the Pacific.

Volunteers are always welcome and guests often find their time interacting with the turtles the most memorable of their entire trip. Many nights, over 1,000 turtles are let loose into the surf. It's a sight to behold for certain.
